Poker Hall of Famer Daniel Negreanu was born on July 26, 1974 in Toronto, Ontario in Canada. His parents were of Romanian origin and hoped to migrate to a better life in the United States but ended up in Canada.
He dropped out of high school, one credit short of graduation, to pursue a career playing poker. His first gamble paid off as he has become one of the most successful poker players of all-time. Negreanu has won six World Stars of Poker bracelets and two World Poker Tour championships. As of 2018, he is the 2nd most winningest player in Live Tournament Poker with an estimated earnings of $39.5M. Negreanu was WSOP Player of the Year in 2004 and 2013, making him the only player to win the accolade twice and in different decades. He is also the first player to make the final table in all of the WSOP’s bracelet winning locations: Las Vegas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.

He married Lori Lin Weber in 2005 but they divorced two years later. Since his divorce, Negreanu has been involved with several women poker players and celebrities.
She was rumored to be dating American actress Shannon Elizabeth whom he tutored in playing poker. He was also hooked with actress and PokerStars TV host Amanda Leatherman. After Leatherman, he was linked to Hungarian model Krisztina Polgar, who was Miss Earth Hungary in 2008.
In 2013, his lovelife became more public when he appeared in the season 6 premier of Bravo TV’s reality dating show Millionaire Matchmaker.
